Join the Zonai Survey Team in Faron

In the Faron region near Lake Floria, find researcher Tauro and his small team camped at a Zonai ruin site. Tauro has identified three buried Zonai relics on his survey grid but lacks the means to excavate them — standard digging tools cannot handle the density of the compacted earth over each relic. He asks Link to use Ultrahand to pull the relics free from the ground, as it can grip objects regardless of burial depth.

Excavate the First and Second Relics

The first relic is near the campsite — a rectangular Zonai device buried about one meter deep, visible as a faint outline in the soil. Use Ultrahand to grip the buried object and pull upward firmly. The second relic is in a dense root system near the lakeside — you must use a cutting tool to clear the thick roots first, then use Ultrahand. Each relic has unique Zonai inscriptions that Tauro immediately documents.

Excavate the Third Relic from the Cave

The third relic is the most challenging — buried inside a partially flooded cave east of the campsite. Drain the water by diverting the inflow stream using Ultrahand to reposition a flat rock over the water entry. Once the cave floor is dry, locate the third relic buried in the mud and extract it with Ultrahand. This relic is a Zonai orb with internal mechanisms — possibly a Zonai computing device.

Document Inscriptions and Claim the Reward

After all three relics are excavated and set on the research platforms, Tauro photographs and documents each inscription. He determines the relics are pre-Upheaval Zonai navigation tools.
