Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Meet Sidon at the Eastern Drainage Gate

After clearing the Water Temple, find Prince Sidon at the eastern drainage gate of Zora's Domain. He has organized a cleanup crew of six Zora workers but they are struggling — the eastern channels are blocked with hardened sludge that their tools cannot break. Sidon asks Link to assist with the heavy blockages while the crew handles the lighter cleanup work along the channel walls and floor.

2

Break the Three Major Sludge Blockages

Enter the eastern channels through the drainage gate. Three large hardened sludge masses block the channel flow at intervals. Each requires sustained impact to break — use a two-handed hammer weapon like the Cobble Crusher or Stone Smasher to deliver powerful downward strikes. Alternatively, attach a Rock Hammer Zonai device using Ultrahand to create a demolition tool. Each blockage takes four to six strong hits to shatter.

3

Clear the Residual Sludge with the Crew

After breaking the major blockages, help the Zora cleanup crew scoop residual sludge from the channel floor using the provided Zora-made scooping implements. Walk the length of each channel and interact with sludge piles marked by the crew's orange flags. There are nine marked piles across two channel segments. Clearing all nine allows the water flow to fully resume and the eastern waterfall to restart.

4

Watch the Waterfall Restoration and Receive Rewards

Return to Sidon at the drainage gate. With the channels clear, he opens the main flow valve. Water rushes through the eastern channels and the Zora's Domain waterfall roars back to life — a visually stunning moment as the silver cascade fills the canyon. Sidon rewards Link with five Opals for the heavy work and arranges a Zora Spear upgrade at the armory as additional compensation.
