Thunder Helm Lineage
Adventure Overview
After reclaiming the Thunder Helm for Riju, the ancient heirloom reveals a hidden inscription that pre-dates the Gerudo chieftain tradition by over a thousand years. Historian Benja in Gerudo Town believes the inscription references a second Thunder Helm crafted in the same era as the first — one lost during the Gerudo civil war of the Era of Chaos. Investigating the inscription leads deep into Gerudo secret history and a hidden tomb beneath the desert.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Examine the Helm Inscription
With the Thunder Helm returned to Riju, Benja notices a secondary inscription on the inner lining previously obscured by years of polish. The inscription is in proto-Gerudo script — Benja can partially translate it.
2
Gather Translation Materials
Complete translation requires a proto-Gerudo lexicon stored in the Eastern Ruins archive, a set of Sheikah translation tools from Kakariko, and the oral tradition of the eldest Voe's cooks who maintained the old scripts in recipe records.
3
Decode the Inscription
The combined resources allow Benja to decode the full inscription: it describes a sister helm gifted to a Gerudo military commander during the civil war, sealed in a tomb at the border of the Gerudo Highlands and the Molduga territory.
4
Explore the Hidden Tomb
Navigate to the described location — a tomb entrance hidden beneath a sand dune formation near the border. The tomb is guarded by ancient Lizalfos constructs and contains mural-painted walls depicting the Gerudo civil war in vivid detail.
5
Discover the Lost Helm
The sister helm is found at the tomb's center — damaged but intact. Benja arranges its restoration and places it in the Gerudo Town museum as a permanent historical exhibit, alongside a complete account of the civil war.
