Adventure Overview
The Great Deku Tree in Korok Forest has been corrupted by Gloom emanating from the Depths below. To cleanse the forest and restore the Deku Tree, you must descend into the Depths beneath Korok Forest and defeat the Phantom Ganon lurking in the Gloom-infested roots.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Reach Korok Forest
Travel to the Korok Forest in the Great Hyrule Forest. The Lost Woods surrounding it may require navigating by following embers or using specific paths.

Discover the Gloom
The Great Deku Tree is sick, covered in Gloom. Speak to the Koroks to learn that the corruption comes from below. A chasm has opened at the base of the Deku Tree.

Descend into the Depths
Drop into the chasm beneath the Great Deku Tree. Bring Brightbloom Seeds, Sundelion meals for Gloom recovery, and your strongest weapons.

Battle Phantom Ganon
In the Gloom-filled cavern beneath the roots, you face Phantom Ganon — a powerful Gloom-infused boss. Use light-based attacks and stay out of the Gloom pools. He wields copies of weapons from the Champions.
5
Cleanse the Deku Tree
After defeating Phantom Ganon, the Gloom recedes. Return to the surface to find the Great Deku Tree restored. He gives you information about the Master Sword's true location.
