Description
A heavy solid iron shield recovered from Depths patrol enemies — crude but extraordinarily dense, making it one of the best budget shields for absorbing raw physical damage in the underground zones. Its weight makes it less effective at parrying fast attacks, but it excels at absorbing Hinox stomps and Gloom Hand grabs that would shatter lighter shields. The iron composition also conducts electricity — be cautious using near electric enemies in Depths water zones. Fuse a Rubber coating from Chuchu Jelly for insulation, or a Diamond for maximum combined defense without the electric drawback. A dependable workhorse shield for the early-to-mid Depths exploration phase before Zonai vaults open.
