All 6 Dungeons

Wind Waker's dungeons are fewer but longer than most Zelda games. Each requires a companion or special tool.

1.

Dragon Roost Cavern

Grappling Hook

📍 Dragon Roost Island — northeast Great Sea

Boss — Gohma: Gohma is a giant armored crab. Its weak point is its eye, which only opens after you bomb/grapple its claw to make it look up. Hit the eye with arrows or the Grappling Hook. Gohma slams the ground to knock stalactites — dodge left or right of the impact zone.

2.

Forbidden Woods

Boomerang

📍 Forest Haven — south-central Great Sea, behind waterfall

Boss — Kalle Demos: Kalle Demos is a giant carnivorous plant. Cut the tentacles holding the pod closed with the Boomerang (chain 4 at once for efficiency). The pod opens exposing the core — hit it with the Boomerang or sword. Tentacles regenerate if you're too slow.

3.

Tower of the Gods

Command Melody / Hero's Bow

📍 Appears after lighting all 3 stone pedestals across the Great Sea

Boss — Gohdan: Gohdan consists of a head and two hands. Shoot both hands' eye sensors with arrows to freeze each hand. When both hands are frozen, shoot both eyes on the face. The head then breathes fire in sweeping arcs — dodge and repeat. 3 full cycles required.

4.

Forsaken Fortress

N/A (rescue Aryll)

📍 Northwest Great Sea — visited twice, second time with Master Sword

Boss — Phantom Ganon: Second visit only: Phantom Ganon wields a replica Master Sword. Parry his strikes and counter-attack when he's off balance. He fires sword beams from distance — reflect them back with a timed sword swing. Defeat him to take his sword temporarily.

5.

Earth Temple

Mirror Shield

📍 Headstone Island — requires Earth God's Lyric and Medli

Boss — Jalhalla: Jalhalla is a giant Poe. Use the Mirror Shield to reflect light beams onto Jalhalla, shrinking him. Pick up the shrunken form and slam it into the spiked walls. He shatters into small Poes — use the Mirror to re-shrink and re-slam. 4 slams required.

6.

Wind Temple

Hookshot

📍 Ice Ring Isle — requires Wind God's Aria and Makar

Boss — Molgera: Molgera is a sand worm. When it opens its mouth, Hookshot its tongue to pull it forward, then slash the tongue. Molgera spawns larvae — kill them with the Hookshot or they drain health. Repeat the tongue-grab 4 times to defeat it.
