Description

Master Kohga's second Depths encounter. Uses a spinning platform to shield himself. Attach a counterweight boulder with Ultrahand to unbalance his platform and send him crashing down.

How to Beat Master Kohga (Fight 2)

1. Master Kohga Fight 2 introduces a new Ultrahand puzzle mechanic using a spinning platform.
2. This fight occurs at the Abandoned Eldin Mine in the Depths.
3. Setup: Kohga floats on a spinning circular platform with gaps between sections.
4. He uses the platform to block and deflect attacks while hovering above you.
5. Phase 1 — The Platform Puzzle: Kohga attaches a boulder to his spinning platform as a weapon, rotating it to deflect incoming attacks.
6. To stun him, use Ultrahand to grab a loose boulder from the arena and attach it to the opposite side of Kohga's spinning platform.
7. The added weight on one side causes the platform to become unbalanced and spin out of control, throwing Kohga off and crashing him to the ground.
8. Phase 2 — Melee Punishment: Sprint to Kohga while he is stunned and attack.
9. He recovers after five to six seconds and floats back up.
10. In this fight, he may use two boulders on his platform — attach a counterweight on the same side as both boulders to overload that side and spin him out.
11. The Eldin Depths environment means residual heat from nearby lava — the arena floor is safe but the surroundings are volcanic.
12. Three stun-and-punish cycles defeat Kohga here.
13. He dramatically vows a new scheme and retreats.
