Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Kimayat Shrine in the Eldin region.
- The theme is Spin the Bouncer — using rotational physics to launch a steel ball into a target receptacle.
- A large turntable spins slowly in the center of the room with a steel ball resting in a shallow groove on its surface.
- The target receptacle (socket) is mounted in the far wall, about 12 meters away.
- Step 2: The turntable spins at a default low speed — too slow to fling the ball off its surface.
- You need to increase the spin speed.
- Use Ultrahand to grab the turntable's outer edge and push it in the direction of its existing rotation.
- Each push adds rotational momentum.
- Repeat this four to five times, pushing firmly each time — the turntable accelerates with each push until it spins at roughly triple its original speed.
- Step 3: Watch the ball on the turntable.
- As the spin speed increases, the ball migrates outward toward the edge due to centrifugal force.
- At high enough speed, the ball reaches the turntable's lip and is ready to fly off.
- The critical moment: the ball must leave the turntable when it is aimed directly at the far wall receptacle.
- Step 4: Position yourself so you can see both the ball's position on the turntable and the receptacle on the wall.
- When the ball is about 90 degrees before the receptacle line (meaning it will sweep past the receptacle line in the next quarter-rotation), strike the turntable edge with a melee weapon to give it one final burst of speed.
- The ball flies off the turntable at the correct angle and sails across the room into the receptacle.
- Step 5: If the ball misses the receptacle (common on first attempts), it hits the far wall and rolls back to the floor.
- Retrieve it with Ultrahand and place it back in the turntable groove.
- Adjust your timing — if the ball flew to the left of the receptacle, strike the turntable slightly later in its rotation.
- If it flew to the right, strike earlier.
- The correct launch window is surprisingly narrow (about 15 degrees of arc).
- Step 6: When the ball seats into the receptacle with a click, the altar gate opens.
- Walk through and claim the Light of Blessing.
- A chest behind the turntable (easy to miss since your attention is focused forward) contains an Eldin Ore (worth 150 rupees).
- Abilities needed: Ultrahand (turntable acceleration, ball repositioning).
- Pro tip: Instead of melee-striking the turntable for the final launch, you can use Ultrahand to suddenly stop the turntable while the ball is at the correct position — the ball's inertia carries it forward off the now-stationary surface, giving you more precise directional control.
