Flux Construct Farming Guide — All Locations & Zonai Charge Drops
Flux Construct Farming Guide — Grinding Zonai Charges
Flux Constructs are the most efficient source of Large Zonai Charges — the high-value material used to refill your Energy Cell, fuse to weapons for temporary power boosts, and sell for Rupees (at 50 each). With three tiers (Flux Construct I, II, III) scattered across Sky Islands and the Depths, running a Flux Construct circuit every Blood Moon gives reliable Zonai material income. This guide covers all locations and the fastest kill strategies.
What Flux Constructs Drop
| Tier | Large Zonai Charge | Zonai Charge | Other | |------|-------------------|-------------|-------| | Flux Construct I | 1–2 | 3–5 | Construct Parts | | Flux Construct II | 2–4 | 4–6 | Construct Parts | | Flux Construct III | 3–5 | 5–8 | Construct Parts, rare |
Large Zonai Charge uses:
- Refill Energy Cell (1 Large Charge = significant energy)
- Sell at Zonai Device Dispensers or to Beedle (50 Rupees each)
- Fuse to weapons for a temporary energy burst effect
- Trade at Forge Constructs for Zonai Devices
Farming goal: A full Flux Construct I circuit (6–8 fights) gives 8–16 Large Zonai Charges per run. At 50 Rupees each, that's 400–800 Rupees per circuit in sell value — competitive with other farming methods.
Flux Construct Tier Guide
Flux Construct I (Easiest)
- Health: Low
- Attacks: Simple block formation, ground slam, cube launch
- Weak point: The glowing cube in its body — hit it with any weapon or arrow to trigger stagger
- Location: Great Sky Island, early Sky Islands, some Depths sections
Flux Construct II (Moderate)
- Health: Medium
- Attacks: More complex formations, faster cube movements, spinning platforms
- Weak point: Same — glowing cube, but it moves to different positions in the formation
- Location: Mid-tier Sky Islands, Depths mid-zones
Flux Construct III (Hardest)
- Health: High
- Attacks: Multi-phase formations, fast movement, ground wave attacks
- Weak point: Glowing cube — now moves frequently between attacks
- Location: High-altitude Sky Islands, deep Depths zones
How to Beat Flux Constructs Quickly
Universal Strategy
- Identify the glowing cube — it shifts position in the Construct's body. It's the bright orange/yellow glowing block
- Hit the glowing cube with arrows — this is the most reliable method. Shock Arrows deal extra damage
- After 3–5 arrow hits — the Construct collapses, dropping the glowing cube onto the floor
- Rush in with melee — hit the dropped cube 4–6 times with a heavy weapon charged attack
- The Construct reforms — repeat 2–3 cycles to destroy
Phase-Specific Forms
Column Form: Construct stacks vertically. Walk around and shoot the glowing cube from the side or behind.
Cube Form: Construct forms a floating cube. Use Ascend through the cube to appear inside — then swing at the glowing block from inside the formation.
Platform Form: Construct creates a flat platform and chases you. Jump onto the platform top, find the glowing cube, and melee it directly.
Spinning Form (FCIII only): The cube spins rapidly. Shoot with arrows in bullet-time (paraglide off any elevated surface) — the Savage Lynel Bow with 5-shot spread makes this easy.
Optimal Gear
- Shock Arrows (20+) — deal bonus damage to the glowing cube
- Two-handed weapon with Lynel Horn — maximum melee damage on the dropped cube
- Savage Lynel Bow — 5 arrows per shot makes hitting the moving cube trivial
All Flux Construct Locations
Sky Island Flux Constructs
Great Sky Island (Tutorial Area)
- FC I — In the main Great Sky Island area. The first boss encounter teaches the mechanic.
- Respawns on Blood Moon.
Lanayru Sky Archipelago
- FC II — On the sky islands above the Lanayru region
- Access via Lanayru Tower launch or upward air currents near the Water Temple sky chain
Eldin Sky Islands
- FC I/II — On islands above Death Mountain
- Access via Eldin Tower + paraglider east/northeast
Akkala Sky Islands
- FC II — Above the Akkala Highlands north chain
- Access from Ulri Mountain Tower
Hebra Sky Islands
- FC II/III — On the high-altitude islands in the northern sky
- Require maximum Tower launch altitude + strong paragliding
Gerudo Sky Islands
- FC II — Islands above the Gerudo region
- Access via Gerudo Highland Tower
Depths Flux Constructs
Multiple Flux Constructs roam the Depths in fixed zones:
- Central Depths near the Hyrule Field underground area: FC II
- Eldin Depths north section: FC II/III
- Akkala Depths eastern zone: FC III
- Necluda Depths near the underground river: FC I/II
Depths advantage: Depths Flux Constructs are more isolated from other enemy groups — easier to farm without interruption. The Gloom floor is a hazard; stay on elevated platforms when possible.
Best Farming Circuit
Efficient Blood Moon circuit:
- Great Sky Island FC I (launch from any Tower → Great Sky Island → kill → warp out)
- Lanayru Sky FC II (Lanayru Tower launch → kill)
- Central Depths FC II (Hyrule Castle Depths chasm → navigate to FC → kill)
- Repeat after Blood Moon
Time per circuit: 15–25 minutes. Yield: 6–12 Large Zonai Charges, 15–25 regular Zonai Charges.
Sell vs. keep decision: Keep Large Zonai Charges for Energy Cell refueling during Zonai device-heavy builds. Sell regular Zonai Charges (15 Rupees each) if rupees are needed — they're less useful than Large.
