About This Lightroot
Kisinona sits deep beneath Eldin Canyon in a geothermally active zone, corresponding to Anonisik Shrine on the surface near the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower approach. The magma activity here is active rather than decorative — narrow lava channels cross the main access path and flow slowly enough to jump over, but contact with the channels deals fire damage even with Flamebreaker Armor. The cave ceiling radiates heat that affects unprotected visitors. Chain navigation: the nearest previous lightroot is Tayamik to the south; approach Kisinona from the southeastern tunnel which bypasses the widest lava crossing. A Lizalfos camp of 6-8 heat-resistant variants occupies the flat stone platform between the approach tunnel and the lightroot — they are immune to fire weapons, so use ice arrows for maximum effect. The ore deposits here are exceptional: Rubies and Sapphires cluster in the same rock formations due to the thermal cycling, and a single 20-minute sweep typically yields 8-12 precious gems. Armor recommendation: full Flamebreaker set is mandatory — this is one of three Depths locations with passive fire-zone damage.
