Moyakum Lightroot (anagram of Mukayom Shrine) sits in the Eldin Depths volcanic vent zone where geothermal gases exit the mantle and deposit yellow sulfur minerals on every exposed surface. The sulfur coating creates an entirely distinct visual palette — yellow-orange rock faces, yellow-crusted stalactites, and yellow-outlined Zonaite seams — unlike any other location in the Depths. The constant gas venting creates audible hissing from multiple vent openings and low-level air movement that can be felt as warm drafts. Flamebreaker Armor is mandatory; the gas itself adds minor fire damage on top of ambient heat. Zonaite veins here are among the richest in the Eldin region — the same volcanic processes that create the sulfur deposits also concentrate Zonaite, and a single 20-minute mining pass yields 25-30 Zonaite chunks from accessible surface seams alone. Heat-adapted Fire Lizalfos (5-6) and a lone Obsidian Frox occupy the vent field; the Frox actively uses the gas vents as cover, positioning itself downwind so the gas obscures approach. A Zonai fan device cache near the northern vent can be activated to push the gas clouds away from the primary Zonaite vein, clearing the mining approach.
