Quest Overview
Once Lurelin Village is restored, the villagers revive their annual fishing festival. The festival includes a competitive fishing contest that Link can enter. Win first place by catching the largest fish in the bay within a ten-minute window. The competition uses a Zonai fishing construct — a buoyant platform with an extended crane arm and net — that Link must pilot using Ultrahand while rivals use conventional poles.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Enter the Fishing Contest
Speak with the festival coordinator Sebasto at the Lurelin dock to register for the competition. There are three competing fishers using conventional poles. Link is given exclusive use of a Zonai fishing construct — a floating platform with a crane arm and weighted net. The platform is moored at the dock; interact with it to begin piloting.
2
Pilot the Fishing Construct
Use Ultrahand to operate the crane arm: lower the net into the water over schools of fish visible from above. The Faron Bay waters are clear enough to see fish movement. Target large school clusters. The net captures all fish within a one-meter radius when triggered. You have ten minutes to beat the rivals' total catch weight.
3
Win the Competition
The largest fish in the bay — a Giant Hyrule Bass — circles the deep-water reef 50 meters from shore. Position the construct over the reef, lower the net to 8 meters depth, and wait for the Bass to pass through. One Giant Bass outweighs the rivals' entire combined catch. Trigger the net when the Bass enters it.
4
Claim the Festival Trophy
Return to dock before the timer expires. The contest judges tally weights. Link wins with the Giant Bass catch. Sebasto awards the Lurelin Fishing Festival trophy (a decorative item), a bundle of rare seafood ingredients including Deep Sea Fish and Porgy, and a Rupee prize for first place.
