Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Learn About the Dispute

In Kakariko Village, the Impa Shrine area is buzzing with tension. Two Sheikah elders — one from the Uzuki family and one from the Taki family — are arguing publicly about ownership of an ancient eye-motif pendant that was supposedly found during post-Upheaval excavation of a collapsed building. Speak with both to hear their conflicting stories before taking sides or making any judgment.

2

Investigate the Uzuki Household

Enter the Uzuki family home and examine their collection of heirlooms and documents. On a shelf, find an old sketch depicting a woman wearing the pendant — the sketch is dated a century before the Calamity. A journal entry mentions the pendant was given to their ancestor as a gift from a traveling craftsman. This is circumstantial evidence but establishes a plausible chain of ownership.

3

Investigate the Taki Household

The Taki home has a more direct piece of evidence: a carved wooden box with the pendant's exact dimensions hollowed out inside, suggesting it was the original storage case. A family ledger lists the pendant as property of a Taki ancestor who commissioned it from a Sheikah artisan. Cross-reference both families' evidence and note the pendant was commissioned by Taki but gifted to Uzuki — explaining both claims.

4

Deliver Your Ruling and Claim the Reward

Return to the village center and present your findings. The mediated resolution: the pendant belongs to both families as shared heritage, and they agree to display it alternating years in each home. The act of cooperation lifts the tension and prompts one elder to mention a hidden family cache buried under the old shrine tree. Dig it up with Ultrahand to find a Sheikah Eye armor piece and 100 Rupees.
