Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Visit Hudson Construction in Hateno Village
In Hateno Village, find the Hudson Construction booth run by a local representative named Bolson (the same contractor from Breath of the Wild, now semi-retired). He explains that a vacant house on the village's east side was damaged in the Upheaval and Hudson Construction has repaired it — it is now for sale for 3,000 Rupees. This becomes Link's permanent home base with full customization options.
2
Purchase the House
Pay Bolson's 3,000 Rupee asking price to officially become the house's owner. Bolson hands over the key and gives a brief tour: the main room has bare walls, a basic sleeping pallet, and a cooking pot. The exterior has an empty garden area. Each addition requires further Rupee investment: a proper bed (500 Rupees), exterior flower garden (200 Rupees), and weapon display mounts (200 Rupees each).
3
Furnish with Weapon Display Mounts
The most useful customization is adding weapon, shield, and bow display mounts — wall fixtures that allow Link to store displayed weapons as permanent decorations that do not break or disappear. You can mount your strongest or most visually impressive weapons as trophies. Sword mounts cost 200 Rupees, shield mounts 200 Rupees, and bow mounts 200 Rupees. Add up to three of each type for a total of six mounts.
4
Complete the Home Setup and Enjoy the Benefits
Once the bed is purchased, sleeping in Link's own bed fully restores health (identical to inn rest but free). The house becomes a permanent fast-travel destination via the Emergency Teleport function if you are carrying an emergency octorok balloon item. Bolson visits occasionally with upgrade offers. The house also provides a compelling hub for displaying legendary weapons collected throughout your adventure.
