At Outskirt Stable in Central Hyrule, a rider named Toffa explains that a legendary white horse — said to be descended from Princess Zelda's personal stallion — has been spotted roaming Safula Hill west of the stable. The horse is described as pure white with a flowing silver mane and extraordinary grace. Previous attempts to tame it have failed because the horse senses hostility and flees. Toffa asks Link to try approaching with patience and gentleness.

Locate the White Stallion on Safula Hill

Head west from Outskirt Stable to Safula Hill, a gently rolling grassy ridge. The White Stallion is easily spotted due to its distinctive pure white coat — it stands out dramatically against the green grass. The horse wanders in slow circuits around the hill's crown. Approach slowly while crouching, moving only when the horse is grazing and not looking in your direction. A Sneaky Elixir makes the approach much easier.

Mount and Tame the White Stallion

Sprint and mount the horse from behind when it is stationary or moving away. The White Stallion has a moderate stamina pool to tame — three to four soothe cycles. Unlike most wild horses, the White Stallion responds dramatically well to gentle soothing and calms faster if you approach without having recently killed any animals or enemies (giving it time to reset the threat sensor). Once tamed, ride it to Outskirt Stable to register.

Claim the Royal Saddle and Report to Toffa

After registering the White Stallion, return to Toffa who verifies the lineage by examining the horse's coat pattern — a specific star marking near the shoulder that matches royal stable records. He is overjoyed and awards the Royal Saddle, a special saddle bearing the royal crest that reduces the White Stallion's skittishness around loud combat sounds. The horse's base stats are solid (speed 4, strength 3, stamina 4) making it ideal for long cross-country travel.
