Meet Festival Organizer Rozel on Lurelin Beach

Find Rozel on the main beach of Lurelin Village, setting up the festival canopy with help from a few returning fishermen. He explains the Fish Festival tradition: three sacred fish — the Mighty Porgy, the Chillfin Trout, and the Voltfin Trout — must be caught and brought to the central festival offering table before the ceremony can begin. These fish are rare and require specific conditions to catch.

Catch a Mighty Porgy in the Faron Coastline

Mighty Porgies swim in schools in the warm ocean waters off the Faron coast, visible just below the surface from clifftops. Use a Froggy Sleeve-boosted fishing approach or standard bait arrows. The Mighty Porgy is larger than common porgies and has a distinctive purple sheen. Drop bait (any food item thrown into the water) to concentrate the school, then use Ultrahand to grab one before it scatters.

Catch a Chillfin Trout and a Voltfin Trout

Chillfin Trout live in the cold streams flowing into Floria River from the Faron highlands — look in the shaded pools beneath waterfalls where the water runs cold. Voltfin Trout inhabit the streams near Faron's electrified caves, particularly the Riola Spring inlet. Both fish are caught the same way: drop food bait near the school and grab with Ultrahand when they cluster.

Present the Fish at the Festival Table

Bring all three fish to the festival offering table near Rozel. He presents each fish to the assembled villagers with a brief ceremonial speech. The festival concludes with a shared feast — Lurelin Village's first community celebration since the Upheaval.
