Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Learn About the Giant White Horse at Outskirt Stable
Speak with Toffa the stable hand at Outskirt Stable southwest of Hyrule Field. He describes the Giant White Horse — a pure white stallion nearly twice the size of a normal horse that roams between Safula Hill and the Mabe Village ruins. Several riders have attempted to tame it and been thrown off within seconds. Toffa offers a unique saddle and bridle if Link can register it at the stable.
2
Locate the Giant White Horse
Head north from Outskirt Stable toward Safula Hill and the Great Plateau base. The Giant White Horse patrols a circuit around this area — it is immediately recognizable by its brilliant white coat, extraordinary size, and the way smaller horses scatter when it passes. Approach from downwind by crouching and moving slowly. It is skittish and will gallop away if Link approaches upright from the front.
3
Mount and Tame the Horse
Sprint and leap onto the Giant White Horse's back when it pauses to graze. It bucks violently — the taming requires three to four full stamina wheels worth of soothing. Cook Endura or Energizing meals beforehand to boost your maximum stamina temporarily if needed. Each successful soothe calms it for two to three seconds. After enough cycles, it fully submits and a name prompt appears.
4
Register at Outskirt Stable and Collect Rewards
Ride the Giant White Horse to Outskirt Stable. At the register desk, the stable hand marvels at the horse's size — standard stalls cannot accommodate it, so it is kept in the large paddock. Toffa fulfills his promise and equips the horse with the Royal Saddle and Royal Bridle, unique items that cannot be changed out. The Giant White Horse has poor maneuverability but exceptional strength for traversal.
