Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Speak with Chief Riju's Water Steward Liana
After clearing the Lightning Temple, find water steward Liana at the Gerudo Town well. She explains the oasis water level has dropped by half despite the Lightning Temple's restoration — something is diverting water underground. Geological surveys suggest the aquifer beneath Kara Kara Bazaar feeds the town's wells, and Liana suspects the Upheaval cracked the underground pipe network that channels water from the aquifer.
2
Locate the Aquifer Entrance Beneath Kara Kara Bazaar
Travel to Kara Kara Bazaar northeast of Gerudo Town. At the bazaar's northern edge, a partially covered pit leads into the underground aquifer chamber. Drop down — the chamber is cool and dark, lit by Zonai light pillars. The aquifer water flows visibly through a network of ancient Zonai-built pipes, and two pipes have sheared at their joint connections, spilling water into the rock instead of channeling it to the town.
3
Repair the Broken Pipe Joints with Ultrahand
The two broken pipe sections are large cylindrical Zonai constructs about two meters in diameter. The first sheared pipe can be rejoined by lifting the separated section with Ultrahand and pushing it back into the connecting collar until it clicks. The second break is more severe — the pipe fragment fell three meters from its mounting. Use Ultrahand to lift it back up and hold it against the coupling bracket while the Zonai adhesive re-activates.
4
Confirm Water Flow and Report to Liana
After both pipes are rejoined, water stops spilling into the rock and full pressure resumes through the channel. Ascend from the aquifer and return to Kara Kara Bazaar — the oasis pool is visibly rising already. Report back to Liana in Gerudo Town. The town well is fully restored within hours. Riju's court acknowledges Link's contribution and provides three Sapphires and a permanent Desert Voe armor discount at the Gerudo clothing shop.
