Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Souuniuh Shrine in the Necluda region and observe the main chamber.
- A heavy stone sphere approximately 1 meter in diameter sits on the floor, and the target socket (a concave receptacle designed to hold the sphere) is mounted on a raised platform across the room.
- The sphere is too heavy to throw accurately, and the platform is too high to reach while carrying it — a gravity-based approach is required.
- Step 2: Use Ultrahand to grab the stone sphere and carry it up the curved ramp on the right side of the chamber.
- The ramp spirals upward to a launch platform positioned directly above the target socket below.
- Move the sphere slowly up the ramp — it is heavy and will slip if you move too fast on the incline.
- Step 3: At the top of the ramp, position the sphere at the launch platform edge and carefully line it up with the socket below.
- Look straight down to verify alignment — the socket's glowing rim should be directly beneath the sphere's center.
- Release the sphere and let gravity drop it into the socket.
- Step 4: If the sphere misses the socket (common on first attempts due to slight misalignment), do not carry it all the way back up the ramp.
- Instead, use Recall on the sphere immediately after it bounces.
- Recall reverses the sphere's movement, floating it back up to the point where you released it.
- Grab it with Ultrahand at the apex of the Recall, adjust your alignment, and drop again.
- Step 5: When the sphere clicks into the socket, the altar gate across the chamber slides open with an audible chime.
- Before proceeding to the altar, check the side alcove to the left of the gate — a chest containing a Zonai Charge Bundle (5 Zonai Charges, useful for powering vehicles and devices) sits against the wall.
- Step 6: Walk through the gate to the altar and claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Zonai Charge Bundle in the side alcove left of the altar gate.
- Easy to miss if you walk straight through the gate.
- Ability needed: Ultrahand (carrying the sphere) and Recall (recovering missed shots).
- Both abilities work together in this shrine to teach the gravity-plus-retry puzzle pattern that appears in many later shrines.
- Pro tip: The Recall recovery technique used here works on any falling or rolling object in TotK.
- Whenever a boulder, ball, or projectile moves past its target, Recall brings it back for another attempt — saving enormous time versus manually repositioning heavy objects.
