Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Step 1: Timiraus Shrine is a Blessing shrine located at the deepest accessible point of the Depths — directly below the foundation of Hyrule Castle.
2. This is one of the most dangerous shrine locations in the entire game, requiring maximum preparation and careful navigation through total darkness and persistent gloom hazards.
3. Do not attempt this shrine early in the game — it is designed for late-game players with full health and upgraded gear.
4. Step 2: Prepare before descending.
5. Stock at least 5 Sundelion-based meals (cook Sundelions with any protein for hearts-restoring meals that specifically counteract gloom's permanent heart reduction).
6. Carry 20+ Brightbloom Seeds for illumination.
7. Equip your best armor with highest defense — the Depths enemies here are Level 3 and above.
8. If you have the Depths armor set (purchased from Bargainer Statues), wear it for gloom resistance.
9. Step 3: Descend into the Depths through the chasm beneath Hyrule Castle (the large circular opening in the castle foundations).
10. Drop straight down and deploy your Paraglider to control your landing.
11. The fall is extremely deep — at least 500 meters — so have stamina ready for a long glide.
12. Step 4: Navigate toward the shrine's position by dead reckoning — the shrine is located directly below the castle's central tower foundation.
13. Use the Purah Pad depth map if you have unlocked Depth mapping through Lightroot activation.
14. Without the map, throw Brightbloom Seeds in all directions at each junction to illuminate potential paths and identify gloom pools (dark purple patches on the ground that drain hearts on contact).
15. Step 5: The path passes through multiple gloom fields — wide areas where the floor is entirely covered in gloom.
16. You cannot avoid all of them.
17. Sprint through the narrowest sections and eat a Sundelion meal immediately after to restore lost heart containers.
18. Between gloom fields, Gloom Hand patrols wander in groups — listen for their distinctive squelching sound and detour around them using the side tunnels.
19. Step 6: After approximately 10 minutes of careful navigation, the shrine's green glow becomes visible from about 30 meters away — a welcome beacon in the absolute darkness.
20. The glow is unmistakable and serves as your final waypoint.
21. Sprint toward it.
22. Step 7: Enter the shrine and walk to the altar.
23. No puzzle.
24. No combat.
25. Just Rauru's Blessing and the profound relief of reaching safety after the most harrowing journey in the game.
26. Claim your Light of Blessing.
27. Hidden chest: Inside the shrine, a chest near the altar contains a Large Zonai Charge.
28. Ability needed: Paraglider for the initial descent.
29. Brightbloom Seeds are essential.
30. No abilities used inside the shrine.
31. Pro tip: After completing this shrine, it becomes a permanent fast-travel point in the deepest Depths.
32. This is incredibly valuable — you can teleport back here instantly instead of repeating the dangerous descent, making it a staging point for exploring the Depths' most remote and rewarding areas.
