Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower

Necluda
Easy
1318, -507, 181

A straightforward tower on the Sahasra Slope near Kakariko Village in the Necluda region. Map region unlocked: Central-eastern Hyrule including the Necluda region, Kakariko Valley, and the western approaches to Zora's Domain. The Sahasra Slope itself is a gentle, grassy incline dotted with stone ruins and ancient carved tablets referencing Sheikah civilization astronomical observations. Stalhorse skeletons animate on the hillside at night (they can be mounted as skeletal horse companions), and Sunset Fireflies spawn on the hillside at dusk between 18:00–20:00 — a valuable material for fireproof elixirs. Kakariko Village lies just to the northeast, making this a natural combined stop: activate the tower, then head to the village for Impa and Paya's side quest chain and the Ring Ruins investigation quest line. The slope leads into the valley system connecting southeast toward the Necluda coast and north toward Zora's Domain. Several large ore-deposit caves are accessible in the hillside to the east. The tower height provides excellent scouting coverage for Korok seeds in the surrounding grassland patches and for identifying the path to Zora's Domain.

Activation Puzzle Walkthrough

1

The Obstacle

No obstacle — the tower entrance is completely unobstructed. No enemies guard the terminal, no physical objects block the door, and the interior is dry and accessible.

2

The Solution

Walk directly inside the tower and interact with the terminal to activate. This is one of the cleanest and most straightforward tower activations in Tears of the Kingdom. Located on a gentle eastern slope near Kakariko Village with a clear path from the main road, it requires no special items, abilities, or combat. Map region unlocked: Central-eastern Hyrule, including the Sahasra Slope, Kakariko Valley, Necluda West approaches, and the early corridors toward Zora's Domain to the north.

Tips

Activate this tower while visiting Kakariko Village for the main story quest — the two locations are within a 3-minute walk of each other and pair perfectly.

The tower reveals the central-eastern map section including Zora's Domain, the Necluda Sea coastline, and the Lanayru Wetlands approach routes — critical planning data for the Sidon questline.

No cold resistance or special items are needed — this is the most beginner-friendly tower in the game and safe to visit at any equipment level.

At dusk (18:00–20:00 in-game time), Sunset Fireflies spawn on the slope near the tower base — farm them for fireproof elixir ingredients useful later in Death Mountain.

At night, Stalhorse skeletons animate on the hillside — they are rideable as skeletal mounts but vanish at dawn. Approach carefully with a weapon if you are under-geared.

A cave entrance with multiple Ore Deposit nodes is in the hillside to the east — look for slightly different rock texture and a slight glow on the cliff face.

After launching, glide northeast to see Zora's Domain and the sludge situation from the air — excellent strategic overview for planning the Sidon questline approach.

The tower is also an efficient fast-travel return point when exploring the Necluda Sea and Eventide Island to the southeast — saves significant overland travel time.
