Description
An ice-element sword crafted using ancient Rito cold-forging techniques — the blade is saturated with cryogenic energy that radiates a permanent freezing aura from its edge. Each hit applies freeze buildup to targets; sufficient hits fully freeze enemies, shattering them for bonus damage multipliers when struck while frozen. The Frostblade is the primary counter to fire-element enemies including Marbled Gohma, Igneo Talus, Fire Wizzrobes, and Fire Chuchus in the Eldin volcanic zones. It also creates temporary ice formations on water surfaces when swung near standing water, enabling impromptu platform creation. Found in Hebra ice cavern weapon caches and Lanayru snowfield shrines during the Tulin questline.
