Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
A frost-coated Talus variant with an exceptionally rich ore deposit containing Sapphires and Diamonds. Found at the coldest peaks of Hebra and the Gerudo Highlands. Combat is identical to standard Frost Talus — melt the ice shell with fire arrows first — but the fight demands full cold resistance gear to complete efficiently. Sapphire and Diamond drops make this one of the most financially rewarding overworld encounters.
Weakness
Fire arrows to melt ice coating, then heavy hammer weapons on ore deposit
How to Beat Rare Frost Talus
A premium Frost Talus with Diamond and Sapphire embedded in its ore deposit. Strip the ice coating with fire arrows, then climb and use the heaviest fused weapon available. Level 2 Snowquill prevents ambient cold damage during the climb phase. Worth routing specifically for Sapphire and Diamond income.
