Description

A cold-climate Octorok that burrows under snow and ambushes from beneath white powder banks. Its projectiles are ice-coated rocks that can briefly freeze Link — Snowquill Armor's Unfreezable bonus negates this. Shield-parry returns ice rocks that can freeze the Octorok in its own hazard. Found on Hebra snowfields alongside Ice Wizzrobes and Ice Keese. Octorok Balloon drops are useful for object-lifting Ultrahand constructs.

How to Beat Snow Octorok

Emerges from snow banks and shoots ice-coated rocks that can briefly freeze Link. Wear cold-resistant armor. Shield-parry returns ice rocks that can freeze the Octorok itself. Fire arrows melt the snow shell for an exposed easy target. Unlike Rock Octoroks, Snow variants cannot repair weapons.
