Great Fairy Fountain Unlock Order

You must unlock Great Fairy Fountains before upgrading armor. Each requires a specific Stable Trotters performance near the fountain.

Dragon Part Shards (Required for all ★★★★ upgrades)

Each dragon drops from a specific region:

3. Farm Lynels for rare parts — Lynel Hooves/Horns appear in late ★★★ upgrade requirements for some sets; regular Lynel farming circuits make this trivial
4. Blood Moon timing — trigger blood moons deliberately when at high-density enemy spawn areas for efficient rare part farming
5. Use Autobuild for travel — saving paraglider recipes and vehicle plans lets you quickly reach farming locations without stamina drain
6. Sell excess before upgrading — if you have 50 Amber but need 30, sell the excess for Rupees that offset Fairy fees rather than hoarding
