All Hebra Shrines Guide — Tears of the Kingdom

The Hebra region is TotK's northernmost area, encompassing the Tabantha Frontier, Rito Village, Hebra Mountains, Rospro Pass, and Pikida Stonegrove. It contains 20 shrines — the largest regional shrine count in the game — spread across dramatic frozen terrain and sky island clusters above Rito Village.

Cold resistance is mandatory throughout most of Hebra. The Wind Temple questline and Tulin's Gust ability are located here, making this a critical story region for both narrative and ability progression.

Preparation Before Hebra Shrines

Mandatory cold resistance: The Snowquill Set (Rito Village armor shop, ~2,200 rupees for full set) gives Level 2 cold resistance. Without it, cook Spicy Peppers + Hyrule Herbs for warming food — a Lvl 2 cold meal lasts ~6:30 minutes per portion.

Bring:

  • 40+ arrows (Wind Temple aerial combat requires heavy arrow usage)
  • Bomb Flowers (ice formations blocking several shrine entrances)
  • Brightbloom Seeds (Pikida Stonegrove area is dark)
  • Zonai Fans (several puzzle shrines require fan manipulation)
  • Fire Fruit or Red Chuchu Jelly (melting ice formations)

Fast travel anchor: Activate Rospro Pass Skyview Tower early — it's the primary launch point for intercepting the Hebra sky island cluster and reaching several isolated mountain shrines.

Complete Hebra Shrine List

1. Orochium Shrine — "Courage to Fall"

Location: North Hebra Mountains — coordinates (-3456, 3013, 0481) Puzzle Type: Combat + Ascend puzzle Difficulty: ★★★★☆

One of Hebra's most demanding shrines. Features electric shock floor panels and a multi-room layout requiring Ascend to bypass charged surfaces. The name is the key — you must drop through an opening in the floor to bypass the electrified ground level.

Tips:

  • Use Ascend to phase upward through non-electric surfaces rather than walking across shock panels
  • Bring a wooden weapon for the Construct inside — metal weapons conduct electricity and deal self-damage
  • The chest contains a high-value material — don't rush past it

2. Drulonax Shrine — Combat Trial

Location: Hebra Mountains, north of Rito Village Puzzle Type: Combat (Construct Battle) Difficulty: ★★★☆☆

A combat trial shrine featuring multiple Constructs with varied elemental resistances. The challenge escalates across three waves. No puzzle — pure combat skill test.

Tips:

  • Fuse a Silver Lynel Horn or high-attack material to your best weapon before entering
  • The Constructs in Drulonax use shield formations — aim for exposed sides or use arrows to knock shields down
  • Bomb Flowers stagger all wave enemies simultaneously, giving you a free damage window

3. Pelonuk Shrine — Ultrahand Puzzle

Location: Tabantha Frontier, west of Rito Village Puzzle Type: Ultrahand exploration Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A standard Ultrahand construction shrine in the Tabantha plains. Multiple movable objects must be combined and positioned to create a path forward. Good introduction to Ultrahand puzzle solving for players new to the region.

Tips:

  • The solution involves creating a bridge from the available materials — combine long pieces for the widest span
  • Use Recall on objects that have fallen into gaps to restore their position
  • There are two hidden chests — search the alcoves before taking the altar

4. Korin Shrine — Pendulum Swing

Location: Tabantha Frontier, near Tabantha Great Bridge area Puzzle Type: Ultrahand / Timing (pendulum mechanic) Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A pendulum timing shrine where you must attach platforms or weights to swinging arms and time jumps to cross gaps. The shrine rewards reading the swing arc before jumping.

Tips:

  • Let the pendulum complete a full swing to understand its range before mounting it
  • Use Recall to reverse the pendulum if you miss the timing window — easier than waiting for it to swing back naturally
  • The side chest requires attaching an extended arm to reach a high ledge — experiment with Ultrahand length

5. Basum Shrine — Snowball Slope

Location: Hebra Mountains mid-elevation, northeast of Rito Village Puzzle Type: Ultrahand / Ice mechanic Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆

A beginner-friendly shrine using the snowball physics on icy slopes. Roll snowballs down ramps to trigger switches. The puzzle is straightforward but introduces Hebra's ice physics that appear in harder shrines.

Tips:

  • Position the snowball at the exact top of the slope for maximum rolling distance
  • The final room has a size-scaling element — combine multiple snowballs with Ultrahand to create a large snowball heavy enough to trigger pressure plates
  • Cold resistance is still required to approach this shrine comfortably

6. Duhhara Shrine — Ice Construct Boss

Location: Hebra Mountains, near the Hebra North Cryonis area Puzzle Type: Combat (Ice Construct) Difficulty: ★★★★☆

One of the hardest shrine fights in Hebra — a fully-armored Ice Construct with multiple attack phases. Fire elemental weapons are mandatory for efficient combat. Using ice weapons actually heals this enemy.

Tips:

  • Bring fire. Fuse a Dinraal Fang Shard (fire +28) or Fire Fruit to your weapon before entering
  • The Ice Construct's weakpoint is its core gem, exposed briefly after each attack sequence
  • A Bomb Flower arrow to the core deals massive damage and briefly stuns the Construct
  • Red Chuchu Jelly arrows deal fire damage at range — safe option for avoiding melee range

7. Arancia Shrine — Fire and Ice

Location: Tabantha Frontier, west side of the Tabantha Great Bridge Puzzle Type: Elemental puzzle (fire + ice interaction) Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A dual-element shrine where fire and ice interact to create platforms, melt barriers, and open paths. Players must switch between flame emitters and ice pillars to navigate each room.

Tips:

  • Fire melts ice blocks but also creates water puddles that can be frozen again with an Ice Fruit arrow
  • Fuse a fire elemental material to a melee weapon for the timed heating sections
  • The combination lock in the final room requires triggering fire AND ice switches in sequence — read the visual cues on the floor

8. Nouda Shrine — Rauru's Blessing (Rito Wind Trial)

Location: Hebra Sky Island above Rito Village — accessed via Wind Trial Shrine Quest Puzzle Type: Rauru's Blessing (outdoor challenge reward) Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆

This is a reward shrine — completing the Rito Village sky island wind trial unlocks it. No puzzle inside. Walk to the altar and collect the Light of Blessing. The chest contains a rare item from the sky island.

Tips:

  • The Wind Trial requires riding wind currents using Tulin's Gust or a Zonai Fan + paraglider combo
  • Complete the trial before the Wind Temple for the best narrative flow
  • The sky island surrounding this shrine has multiple ore deposits and Zonai Device capsules worth collecting

9. Ren-iz Shrine — Moving Wall Ascend

Location: Hebra Mountains, accessible from Rospro Pass approach Puzzle Type: Ultrahand + Ascend (movable wall) Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A creative shrine using Ascend through a movable vertical wall. Grab the wall with Ultrahand, position it under ceiling sections, then use Ascend through the wall to reach higher levels. Tests dimensional thinking.

Tips:

  • The wall can be repositioned as many times as needed — no timer pressure
  • Ascend activates through the wall material, not just solid terrain — walls, boards, and platforms all work
  • Combine wall repositioning with a jump to reach the highest alcove containing the chest

10. Rutafu-u Shrine — Conveyor Belt Timing

Location: Tabantha Frontier, south of Rito Village on the plains Puzzle Type: Moving platform / timing Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A timing-based shrine with conveyor belt platforms that move at different speeds. Players must jump between belts and use Ultrahand to reposition objects into moving slots. Medium difficulty — more patience than skill.

Tips:

  • Watch two full belt cycles before jumping to understand each platform's timing pattern
  • Use Ultrahand to grab items from slower belts and place them on faster belts for combo-timing solutions
  • Recall on moving platforms reverses their direction — useful for synchronizing two platforms that normally travel in opposite directions

11. Oromuwak Shrine — Wind Fan Puzzle

Location: Hebra Mountains near Pikida Stonegrove, coordinates (-2766, 2476, 0551) Puzzle Type: Zonai Fan / wind Difficulty: ★★★☆☆

A Zonai device shrine built around fan-powered platforms and wind tunnels. Attach fans to boards at different angles to control airflow direction and height. The hardest room requires chaining three wind sources simultaneously.

Tips:

  • Fans attached at 45° create diagonal wind that carries you farther than straight-up fans
  • The Ultrahand rotation controls on fans are critical — experiment with angle before committing
  • The puzzle has a shortcut: position a single large flat board with fans on both ends as a raft and ride it past the gaps

12. Jarusum Shrine — Gap-Crossing Bridge

Location: Tabantha Frontier, central plains area Puzzle Type: Ultrahand / bridge construction Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆

A beginner shrine testing basic Ultrahand bridge construction. Simple planks must be connected across gaps. One of the easiest shrines in the region — a good early warmup for the harder construction puzzles.

Tips:

  • Long boards in this shrine can span multiple gaps simultaneously — build one long bridge rather than several short ones
  • Check for a hidden platform below the main path — a chest sits underneath the second gap
  • Combine two boards end-to-end with Ultrahand to make a bridge long enough for the final room gap

13. Wao-os Shrine — Multi-Mechanic Advanced

Location: North Hebra, near Hebra Peak summit area Puzzle Type: Combined skills (multi-mechanic) Difficulty: ★★★★☆

One of Hebra's most complex shrines — requires combining Ultrahand, Ascend, and Recall in sequence to solve a three-room puzzle. Each room introduces a new mechanic twist that must be carried into the next room.

Tips:

  • Room 1: Recall reversal on a moving object — activate Recall after it passes you, then ride it backward
  • Room 2: Ultrahand + Ascend combination — move a platform into position, then Ascend through it
  • Room 3: All three abilities in sequence — plan the order before committing
  • This shrine has two chests — the second is hidden behind the room 2 ceiling

14. Wakoresh Shrine — Ultrahand Construction

Location: Tabantha Frontier, northwest area near Hebra border Puzzle Type: Ultrahand (construction) Difficulty: ★★★☆☆

A multi-room Ultrahand shrine requiring complex assembly of components. Players must build structures that serve dual purposes — supporting Link's weight while also serving as switches for gates.

Tips:

  • Build heavier rather than taller — weight-based pressure plates require dense assemblies, not height
  • Test each structure before finalizing by walking on it — it will indicate if it's too light
  • The exit room requires a structure that bridges AND presses a switch simultaneously — combine a bridge plank with a weighted block using Ultrahand

15. Dakakuri Shrine — Spinning Gear Puzzle

Location: Rospro Pass area, northwest Hebra Puzzle Type: Ultrahand / rotation / gear mechanics Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A gear and rotation shrine where rotating wheels power mechanisms. Attach Zonai rotating devices to stationary wheels to start spinning platforms and conveyors. The timing between gears is the main challenge.

Tips:

  • Large gears rotate slowly and steadily — use them for precision jumps
  • Small gears rotate fast — jump quickly or use them as fans with a platform attached
  • The final mechanism requires two gears rotating in opposite directions — the Ultrahand rotation direction controls this

16. Gunkatak Shrine — Ice Sled Run

Location: Hebra Mountains, eastern slopes near Rospro Pass Puzzle Type: Ultrahand / ice slide mechanics Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A physics-based shrine using sled construction on icy downhill ramps. Build a sled from available components and ride it to reach targets, switches, and the altar. The icy surface creates high-speed momentum.

Tips:

  • Wider sleds are more stable — attach planks side-by-side rather than in a single-file line
  • A small shield attached to the front of the sled acts as a prow and reduces deceleration
  • For the final ramp, build a sled with an upward-angled front lip to hit a launch ramp at the bottom and reach the distant platform

17. Tavuyak Shrine — Easy Blessing

Location: Rimewise / Tabantha border area Puzzle Type: Rauru's Blessing or Easy Puzzle Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆

An easy shrine in the transition zone between Tabantha and Hebra. Straightforward puzzle or blessing with minimal challenge. Good first shrine if traveling from Hyrule Ridge into Hebra for the first time.

18. Igashuk Shrine — Hard Combat Trial (Rimewise)

Location: Rimewise region, extreme north Hebra Puzzle Type: Combat (Hard) Difficulty: ★★★★☆

One of the northernmost shrines in the game. High altitude, maximum cold requirements. A hard combat trial with multiple Construct types. Bring full Snowquill Set + warming food + high-damage weapons.

Tips:

  • Approach from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower — launch north and paraglide to the shrine entrance
  • Fireproof food is NOT needed here — only cold resistance
  • The combat trial uses Mixed Constructs (combining elemental types) — non-elemental weapons work best to avoid resistance issues

19. Wulonir Shrine — Hard Puzzle (Rimewise)

Location: Rimewise region, west Hebra coast Puzzle Type: Hard puzzle Difficulty: ★★★★☆

A difficult puzzle shrine in the challenging Rimewise border zone. Complex multi-step Ultrahand puzzle requiring sustained concentration. One of the longer-duration puzzle shrines in the region.

Tips:

  • Take each room one step at a time — the puzzle becomes manageable when decomposed
  • If stuck: look up. Ascend is almost always a hidden solution path in complex puzzle shrines
  • Bring extra warming food — extended shrine time in Rimewise territory depletes food buffs

20. Hikakim Shrine — Medium Puzzle (Rimewise)

Location: Rimewise region, northwest Hebra Puzzle Type: Medium puzzle Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

A medium-difficulty shrine in the Rimewise area. Part of the cluster of difficult northern shrines but more accessible than Igashuk and Wulonir. A good confidence-builder before tackling the harder northern trials.

Hebra Shrine Strategy by Area

Rito Village Cluster

Start here. Rito Village is the region hub — fast travel, shops, and the Wind Temple questline. The shrines near Rito Village (Rutafu-u, Jarusum, Arancia, Tavuyak, Korin) are mostly medium-difficulty and great for warming up before the harder mountain shrines.

Access: Rospro Pass Skyview Tower → glide south toward Rito Village. The Tower itself has a Zonai puzzle entrance — attach Fans to a Wing board to ride up to the entrance ledge.

Tabantha Frontier

The open plains of Tabantha are easier to navigate than the mountains. Pelonuk, Korin, Wakoresh, and Dakakuri are spread across the plains — visible from elevated terrain, accessible without extreme cold resistance.

Access: Travel west from Rito Village across the Tabantha Great Bridge. Good aerial reconnaissance from the plains themselves.

Hebra Mountains

The main mountain cluster. Basum, Drulonax, Duhhara, Ren-iz, Oromuwak, Wao-os, and Gunkatak all require Snowquill Set Lvl 2 cold resistance. Work bottom-up from Rito Village altitude toward Hebra Peak.

Key route: Activate Rospro Pass Tower → spiral outward from Rito Village latitude → push north toward Orochium and the extreme mountain shrines last.

Rimewise (North) Cluster

The northernmost shrines — Igashuk, Wulonir, Hikakim — require maximum cold resistance. Access from Rospro Pass Tower launch (paraglide north) or Hebra Peak after clearing mountain shrines. Save these for last.

Sky Island Shrines

Nouda Shrine sits on the sky island cluster above Rito Village. Reach it via Rospro Pass Tower launch + glide north, or attach Rockets to a Zonai Wing from the Rito Village area. The Wind Trial Shrine Quest unlocks Nouda.

Chest Rewards Summary

| Shrine | Notable Reward | |--------|---------------| | Orochium | High-level rare material | | Duhhara | Armored chest — weapon material | | Wao-os | Advanced Zonai Device or rare gem | | Igashuk | High-value combat material | | Wulonir | Rare chest from northern zone | | Nouda | Sky Island rare reward | | Gunkatak | Zonai Device capsule |

Hebra Shrines and the Wind Temple

Three Hebra shrines have direct relationship to the Wind Temple questline:

  1. Nouda Shrine — unlocked by the Rito sky island Wind Trial (same area as Wind Temple entry)
  2. Orochium Shrine — contains Rauru's Blessing; accessed from North Hebra
  3. Oromuwak Shrine — wind fan mechanics mirror Wind Temple puzzle language; completing it before the temple eases the dungeon

Complete the Rito Village story quests before pushing deep into Hebra shrines — Tulin's Gust ability dramatically improves navigation through the mountain and sky island shrine clusters.
