Acorn Koroks appear throughout Hyrule's forested and wooded areas — particularly in Kokiri Forest remnants, the Faron rainforest, and wooded Necluda hillsides. Look for a single acorn hanging from a branch by a thin thread, or resting inside a hollow log on the ground. The acorn has a faint golden sparkle distinguishing it from ordinary acorns. Approach quietly from the correct angle so your shot line is clear.

Shoot or Strike the Acorn
Equip a standard arrow (no elemental attachment needed) and aim at the acorn. At close range you can throw a rock using Ultrahand or swing a weapon, but a single arrow is the most reliable method. When the acorn is struck, it cracks open with a bright flash and the Korok appears immediately in the spot where the acorn was.

Collect the Korok Seed
Speak with the Korok that appears after breaking the acorn. It delivers its characteristic greeting — "Yahaha! You found me!" — and rewards Link with a single Korok Seed. These puzzles are among the quickest in the game once you know what to look for. After collecting the seed, check nearby trees for additional hanging acorns, as they sometimes cluster in groups of two or three in the same grove.
