Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Find the Star Carvings at the Gerudo Summit
Travel to the highest accessible rock plateau in the Gerudo Highlands — accessible by climbing from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower launch point and gliding south. Seven star-shaped petroglyphs are carved into the flat summit rock, arranged in the pattern of the constellation "The Wanderer." The carvings are clearly visible in daylight but the quest trigger requires night. Rest at a campfire on the summit to wait safely until the stars come out.
2
Wait for the Stars to Align at Night
At nightfall, stand at the center of the carved star pattern and look up. The actual night sky's star formation shifts to match the carved pattern exactly during a specific hour — around 9 PM in-game time. A gentle chime sounds and golden light traces the carved lines on the rock as the alignment occurs. Do not move during the alignment; the trigger requires Link to remain stationary in the center point for several seconds.
3
Follow the Light Beam to the Shrine Location
When the star alignment completes, a narrow beam of golden light shoots from the center carving downward through the rock. The light marks a spot fifty meters below on the eastern cliff face where a sealed door is hidden behind a rock fall. Paraglide or climb down to the indicated spot. Use Ultrahand to remove the three blocking boulders, revealing the entrance to the shrine chamber behind them.
4
Enter Mayatat Shrine
The Mayatat Shrine rises from the floor of the revealed chamber. This shrine's internal puzzle involves reflecting light beams using mirror panels to illuminate a series of receptacles simultaneously — thematically echoing the star alignment that unlocked it. Complete the light puzzle for a Light of Blessing. The shrine also serves as a permanent fast-travel point to this otherwise remote Gerudo Highlands summit.
