Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Access the Underbelly of Hyrule Castle

Hyrule Castle floats above Central Hyrule following the Upheaval. Reach the castle's underside by launching from the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower and gliding west, or by climbing the rocky columns that connect the ground to the castle's base. The entrance to the underbelly is through a crumbled wall section on the castle's southern face, leading into the subterranean chamber network below the throne room.

2

Navigate the Gloom-Filled Corridors

The castle's underbelly corridors are soaked in Gloom — contact with the floor continuously drains heart containers permanently until you eat Gloom-recovering food. Equip Gloom-resistant armor or bring multiple Sundelion-based meals to heal Gloom damage. The path to the shrine winds through the castle dungeon, a flooded library section, and a collapsed armory. Mark your path with Brightbloom Seeds to avoid getting lost in the mirrored corridors.

3

Defeat the Gloom Hands Guardian

At the entrance to the inner sanctum, a cluster of Gloom Hands emerges from the floor — the same horrifying appendage creatures found near cursed regions. These are stronger variants. Use aerial attacks by jumping on a Zonai platform and attacking from above, or use Recall on falling stalactites to smash them repeatedly. Silver Arrows deal massive damage if available. Defeating the Gloom Hands prevents Phantom Ganon from spawning here.

4

Reach the Sealed Chamber and Unlock the Shrine

Past the Gloom Hands, a narrow stairwell descends to a domed chamber sealed with a stone door bearing Zonai script. Reading the inscription (or having it translated by the Sheikah scholar Jerrin at Lookout Landing beforehand) reveals the activation phrase: offer a Luminous Stone at the door's receptacle. The door opens to reveal Serutabomac Shrine rising from the chamber floor. Complete it for a Light of Blessing.

Pro Tips

1

Use Ultrahand to look for hidden objects or movable platforms you might have missed.

2

If stuck, try looking at the puzzle from a different angle — literally. Use Ascend to reach higher vantage points.

3

Cook Hearty meals to gain temporary bonus hearts. Hearty Durians are the most efficient.

4

Consider equipping the Fierce Deity Set or Barbarian Armor for maximum attack power before the hardest encounters.

5

Use your Purah Pad Sensor+ to track quest-related items and materials as you explore.
