Find Misko's Second Journal

Locate the second of Misko the Bandit's journals in a cave near the Eldin Canyon Stable. The journal is resting on a stone shelf inside the cave entrance, next to a long-extinguished campfire. The riddle reads: "Where the mountain bleeds fire and stone weeps, seek the passage that leads beneath the crimson falls." This points to a lava-adjacent cave system on Death Mountain's lower slopes.

Locate the Crimson Falls Cave

Travel to Death Mountain's western slopes and look for a waterfall of molten lava pouring down a cliff face — the "crimson falls" referenced in the journal. Behind the lava flow, partially hidden by the glowing cascade, is a narrow cave entrance. Equip full Flamebreaker Armor before entering, as the interior temperature is extreme and the tunnels run dangerously close to exposed lava rivers.

Navigate the Lava Tunnels

Inside the cave, follow the winding tunnels that run parallel to underground lava flows. The path requires careful navigation: use Ultrahand to position stone platforms across lava gaps, watch for periodic lava geysers that erupt from the floor every few seconds, and defeat the Fire Keese and Magma Lizalfos guarding the deeper chambers. A Zonai fan can push back some lava flows temporarily.

Claim the Barbarian Leg Wraps

At the deepest point of the cave, find a sealed chamber with Misko's insignia carved into the stone door. Break through using a bomb arrow or a weapon fused with a rock. Inside, the treasure chest sits on a raised platform surrounded by cooled obsidian. Open it to receive the Barbarian Leg Wraps — the second piece of the Barbarian set providing attack power enhancement and stamina efficiency for charged attacks.
