Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Find the Floating Coliseum

The Floating Coliseum is located in the Depths beneath the Coliseum Ruins in Central Hyrule (approximately coordinates -1131, -1438, -0499). Descend through the chasm near the surface Coliseum Ruins. The Depths coliseum is a massive circular arena with raised platforms — you will recognize it by the torch-lit pillars and gladiatorial layout.

2

Prepare for the Gauntlet

This is one of the hardest combat challenges in the game. Before entering, prepare: cook 15+ Hearty meals for full-heal plus bonus hearts, bring your strongest Fused weapons (attack power 50+), equip the Barbarian Armor set or Fierce Deity set for attack bonuses, stock up on arrows, and consider bringing Ancient Blades for the final rounds. Have at least 20+ hearts and upgraded armor.

3

Survive Five Lynel Rounds

The gauntlet pits you against five Lynels of escalating difficulty: Round 1 — Red-Maned Lynel (easiest, learn the dodge patterns here). Round 2 — Blue-Maned Lynel (faster attacks, more HP). Round 3 — White-Maned Lynel (devastating charge attacks). Round 4 — Silver Lynel (highest non-Gloom HP, triple-burst fireballs). Round 5 — Gloom Lynel (Gloom-covered arena, attacks drain max hearts, the ultimate test).

4

Combat Tips for Each Round

Master the Perfect Dodge timing: when a Lynel swings horizontally, backflip; when it charges, side-hop. After a Flurry Rush, mount the Lynel's back and attack (this does not consume weapon durability). Shoot its face with arrows to stun it briefly. For the Gloom Lynel, bring Sundelion meals to restore Gloom-drained hearts, and use the Master Sword for bonus Gloom-type damage.

5

Claim Your Reward

After defeating all five Lynels, a treasure chest appears in the arena center containing Majora's Mask — a legendary headpiece that makes all minor enemies (Bokoblins, Moblins, Lizalfos, Lynels at a distance) ignore you as though you were one of them. You also receive 3 Diamonds. This is one of the most useful disguise items in the game and a badge of honor for completing the gauntlet.

Pro Tips

1

Side quests often unlock unique rewards not available elsewhere. Always check the reward before skipping one.

2

Pin the quest on your map to track the objective marker while exploring.

3

Cook Hearty meals to gain temporary bonus hearts. Hearty Durians are the most efficient.

4

Consider equipping the Fierce Deity Set or Barbarian Armor for maximum attack power before the hardest encounters.

5

Throw Brightbloom Seeds ahead of you to light the path. Attach them to arrows for long-range illumination.

6

Use your Purah Pad Sensor+ to track quest-related items and materials as you explore.
