Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Riogok Shrine in Central Hyrule.
- The shrine theme is Force Transfer — using kinetic energy and creative physics to move a steel ball into a wall socket.
- The first room presents a steel ball resting on a raised platform, with the target socket embedded in the far wall about 15 meters away.
- Ultrahand cannot carry the ball across the gap (an invisible barrier prevents direct transport).
- Step 2: Equip a two-handed weapon for maximum striking power.
- Position yourself behind the steel ball so that the socket on the far wall is directly ahead.
- Perform a charged heavy swing (hold the attack button) to launch the ball with maximum force.
- The ball rolls off the platform and across the floor toward the socket.
- If your aim is true and the swing is fully charged, the ball seats directly into the socket with a satisfying click.
- If it falls short or veers off course, retrieve the ball with Ultrahand and reposition it on the platform for another attempt.
- Step 3: If melee strikes consistently fall short, use the alternative method: grab a Zonai Rocket from the device dispenser near the entrance with Ultrahand and attach it to the back of the steel ball.
- Strike the Zonai Rocket to activate it — the rocket propels the ball across the room at high speed directly into the socket.
- This method is more reliable but uses a Zonai device.
- Step 4: The first socket click opens the gate to Room 2.
- Here, the challenge escalates: the steel ball must bounce off an angled wall to reach a diagonal socket positioned behind a barrier.
- Direct shots are impossible — you must bank the ball off the wall.
- Position yourself at a 45-degree angle to the angled wall.
- Strike the ball toward the wall at this angle — it ricochets off the stone surface and curves toward the diagonal socket.
- The angle must be precise: too shallow and the ball rolls past the socket, too steep and it bounces back toward you.
- Step 5: After seating the ball in the second socket, the altar gate opens.
- Before claiming your reward, check the alcove behind the second socket — a chest containing a Royal Claymore (38 attack power, excellent two-handed weapon) sits against the back wall.
- Claim the claymore and the Light of Blessing.
- Abilities needed: Ultrahand (ball repositioning, Zonai Rocket attachment).
- Pro tip: In Room 2, if you struggle with the 45-degree bank shot, use Recall on the ball immediately after striking it.
- This lets you observe its trajectory in reverse and fine-tune your angle on the next attempt.
