Description
The elite palace guard shield issued to the highest-ranking officers of Hyrule Castle's Royal Guard — reserved for the personal protectors of the Royal Family. Its construction uses the finest Hyrulean steel alloys available, delivering one of the highest base guard values achievable outside Depths-specific and Lynel-class shields. The Royal Shield features an ornate golden inlay of the Hyrulean Royal Crest and is bordered with a raised rim that deflects glancing blows. Found in the palace guard armory deep within Hyrule Castle and in royal vault ruins beneath Castle Town, accessible only through advanced platforming or Ascend sequences in the late game. Fuse a Silver Lynel Shield Horn to push its guard value to the ceiling for the ultimate non-Depths blocking build.
