Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
The highest-tier mortal Hinox with dark-black skin and glowing red eye. Its sheer HP pool makes prolonged fights risky — prioritize eye stuns and exit when stamina is low. The necklace weapons it carries are the primary reward, often including Royal or Knight-class gear. Black Hinox signals a region has entered late-game enemy scaling.
Weakness
Arrow to the eye (stunned → flurry rush), Ancient Blade
How to Beat Black Hinox
The most aggressive standard Hinox tier. Its eye is more recessed and harder to hit — try shooting from above or while it lunges. The grab attack has extended reach. Focus on eye stuns and burst melee during the window. Necklace weapons on Black Hinox are typically Royal Broadswords and Claymores.
