Spring of Power — Akkala's Sacred Fire Spring

The Spring of Power lies in the northeast corner of Hyrule, in the Akkala region — the most remote of the three sacred springs. Dedicated to Din (goddess of Power) and connected to Ganondorf's Triforce piece, it is guarded by the presence of Dinraal, the Fire Dragon, who passes through the Akkala sky on its northern circuit. The spring is also surrounded by the ruins of an ancient Akkala shrine, making it one of the more visually dramatic sacred sites in the game.

The spring is within a set of ancient ruins at the highest point of the Akkala Highlands — you'll recognize the sacred spring basin surrounded by dragon-carved stone columns.

Dinraal at the Spring

Dinraal (the Fire Dragon) is the least commonly seen dragon for most players because it flies a northern circuit that takes it through Death Mountain, Eldin, and out into the Akkala sea before looping back. The Spring of Power is one of the more reliable intercept points:

The Three Sacred Springs Quest

Like the Spring of Courage and Spring of Wisdom, the Spring of Power is part of a three-spring sidequest:

1. Find the ancient tablet at the spring ruins
2. Read it — mentions the three springs and their divine purpose
3. Pray at the spring basin — spawns a reward chest
4. After completing all three springs, the quest concludes

Spring of Power unique reward: Chest contains a Shard of Dinraal's Horn (rare horn fragment, highest fuse value of any dragon material) and a piece of the spring sacred armor set.

Ancient Ruins Exploration

The Spring of Power ruins are the most elaborate of the three springs — the Akkala ancients built a stone temple around the spring basin that is partially collapsed but still impressive. Inside:

• Ancient tablets describing the history of Power and the Gerudo royal line
• A sealed door that opens when you pray at the spring (contains a small chest)
• Visible Sheikah tech remnants (unusual for Akkala)
• 2 Large Poes in the ruin's inner chamber

Akkala is one of the further regions from the starting area. Fastest early path:

1. Lanayru Skyview Tower → fly north
2. Downstream route from Zora's Domain northeast
3. Eldin north road from Death Mountain area northeast

The Akkala region requires no specific gear beyond basic combat items — no elemental hazards at the spring itself.
