About This Lightroot
Central Hyrule Ridge Depths in a long, winding corridor following an ancient underground riverbed. The river dried thousands of years ago, leaving behind a flat smooth floor of river-polished stones that make ideal building surfaces. Zonai structures appear more frequently here than in adjacent zones — this corridor may have been a supply route between Zonai outposts in the Tabantha and Hyrule Ridge regions.

Locate the mirror shrine
Find Muratok Shrine on the surface map. Kotarum Lightroot is located directly below it.

Enter through a nearby chasm
Find the nearest chasm to Muratok Shrine and jump in. Glide to slow your descent and throw Brightbloom Seeds to light the way.

Navigate to coordinates
Head toward (-1800, 600, -525). Use your map marker to track your position.

Activate the lightroot
Interact with Kotarum Lightroot to activate it. This illuminates the surrounding Depths map and creates a fast travel point.
