Quest Overview

An elderly Rito artisan at Rito Village is crafting a ceremonial cloak to commemorate the restored peace following the Wind Temple crisis. She needs three specific rare feathers that only fall from particular Rito elders during their morning flights — feathers she cannot gather herself due to her age. Find each elder's morning flight route, wait for them to shed a feather naturally, and collect the items without disturbing the birds. Return them to complete the quest.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Meet the Rito Artisan

At Rito Village, an elderly Rito named Gesane is crafting a ceremonial cloak to honor the end of the Wind Temple crisis. She needs three specific feathers from Rito elders whose plumage carries ceremonial significance — feathers that only fall naturally during their dawn flights, never cut or pulled.

2

Track the Three Elder Rito

Each elder has a different morning flight route. Elder Teba flies counterclockwise around the village peak at dawn. Elder Harth makes a low pass over the Hebra snowfields to the north. Elder Kaneli circles the great Rito tree and lands on the upper rookery platform. Find each elder's route and wait at a position where they pass close overhead.

3

Collect the Fallen Feathers

Wait at the correct position during dawn hours (between 5am and 7am in-game time). Each elder naturally sheds one feather during their circuit — it falls slowly and glows faintly. Catch it by standing beneath it, or use Ultrahand to grab it from the air. Collecting a feather without disturbing the elder (no combat, no shouting) is required — scared elders abort their flights.

4

Return to Gesane

Deliver all three feathers to Gesane. She weaves them into the ceremonial cloak over a short cutscene, completing the piece in time for the village ceremony. She rewards Link with a handcrafted Rito bracelet (decorative item with minor cold resistance) and Rupees as thanks for his patience and care.
