Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Travel to Rito Village
Head northwest from Lookout Landing toward the Tabantha region. Equip cold-resistant armor (Snowquill Set from Rito Village shop or cook Spicy Peppers) as temperatures drop sharply. Cross the Tabantha Bridge Stable area and ascend the wooden spiral walkways of Rito Village.
2
Speak with Teba and the Rito Elders
At the top of Rito Village, speak with Teba (the Rito elder and former Champion descendant). He explains the blizzard came from the sky and his son Tulin went to investigate alone. Accept the quest to find Tulin in the Hebra Mountains.
3
Find Tulin at Hebra South Summit
Glide northwest from Rito Village toward the blizzard. Look for Tulin on a rocky outcrop near the Hebra South Summit cave. He is practicing his wind gust ability. Speak with him and agree to work together to reach the storm's source above the clouds.
4
Ascend Through the Cloud Barrier
Use the updrafts and Tulin's wind gust ability to ascend through the sky. Launch from trampolines and use Tulin's gust (press A near him) for extra height. Navigate between floating ice platforms, defeating Aerocuda enemies along the way, until you reach the massive Wind Temple ship in the sky.
5
Activate the Five Wind Locks
Inside the Wind Temple, you must open five wind locks spread across the ship. Each lock requires using Tulin's gust to spin a turbine or push a mechanism. Key puzzles: use Ultrahand to rotate rudders, open hatches to redirect wind flow, and Ascend through floors to reach higher decks. The map terminal on the main deck reveals all lock locations.
6
Defeat Colgera (Wind Temple Boss)
Colgera is a massive ice centipede circling the arena in the open sky. Dive through the three glowing weak spots on its underbelly during each pass. Use Tulin's wind gust to gain speed while skydiving. After three phases (it gains ice projectile attacks in later phases), Colgera shatters. Tulin awakens as the Sage of Wind and pledges his vow to Link.
7
Claim Your Reward
The blizzard over Rito Village lifts permanently. You receive Tulin's Vow, giving you Tulin as a permanent companion who can use his wind gust ability in the overworld. Return to Rito Village to see the restored village and unlock new shop inventory.
