Quest Overview
A Hebra ice sculptor challenges Link to navigate a natural ice cave in the Hebra Mountains that locals use as an extreme cold-weather test. The cave contains three chambers, each colder than the last, with puzzles that require using Fire Fruit arrows and Flint-fused weapons to melt ice barriers while managing warmth with cold-resistance food. Completing all three chambers and reaching the crystal at the back earns a rare ice-element material.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Accept the Ice Cave Challenge
A Rito ice sculptor named Harth meets Link outside a narrow cave entrance in northern Hebra. He presents the challenge: three progressively colder chambers inside the natural ice cave, each sealed by an ice barrier. Only fire will open the barriers. Link needs Fire Fruit arrows and Level 3 Cold Resistance to survive the innermost chamber. A crystal prize waits at the back.
2
Clear Chamber One: The Entry Freeze
The first chamber is cold but manageable with Level 2 cold resistance food. The ice barrier is a thin wall — one Fire Arrow melts it. Beyond, ice Keese patrol the chamber. Defeat them and collect their wings. The floor is slick ice: sprint carefully to avoid sliding into the wall spikes.
3
Clear Chamber Two: The Deep Cold
Chamber two requires Level 3 cold resistance (full Snowquill Set plus food, or Spicy food stacked). The barrier here is two meters thick — requires three Fire Arrows or a Flint+weapon melee combo. An Ice ChuChu nest guards the passage. Stun each ChuChu with a fire attack before it explodes; an ice explosion resets room temperature.
4
Clear Chamber Three: The Inner Sanctum
The innermost chamber is extreme cold — any gap in cold resistance is immediately fatal. The barrier is reinforced ice that requires five fire arrows. Beyond it, the crystal sits on a pedestal: an Ice Dragon Scale left by Naydra during a winter migration, embedded in the cave wall. Claim the crystal and exit carefully — the chambers refreeze quickly.
