Reach the Forgotten Temple in Tabantha

The Forgotten Temple is a massive ruined structure in the Tabantha Frontier, visible as a long stone canyon-temple from the Tabantha Great Bridge. It is guarded by Gloom Hands at the entrance and Gloom-coated floors throughout. Bring Sundelion meals to restore Gloom-drained hearts and approach from the elevated clifftop entrance to avoid the floor Gloom for as long as possible.

Locate the Three Zonai Switches

Inside the main hall, three Zonai crystal switches are mounted on pedestals at intervals down the long corridor. Each switch is protected by a puzzle obstacle: the first requires moving a heavy stone block with Ultrahand, the second requires lighting a torch circuit with Flint-fused arrows, and the third requires defeating a Gloom-Construct that activates when Link approaches the pedestal within 5 meters.

Activate All Three Switches to Unseal the Chamber

Each activated switch glows gold and a deep mechanical sound reverberates through the temple. Once all three are lit, a stone panel at the far end of the corridor rolls aside, revealing stairs descending to a sealed chamber previously inaccessible. The Gloom on the floor near the chamber recedes as the ancient mechanism discharges accumulated Zonai energy.

Enter the Sealed Chamber and Claim the Reward

Descend the stairs to find a circular chamber lined with ancient Zonai murals depicting the first hero — a figure resembling Link wearing golden armor. At the center, a stone pedestal holds one piece of the Ancient Hero's Aspect outfit. This ensemble makes Link appear as the ancient Zonai warrior from the murals. The full set requires three pieces from three Forgotten Temple segments.
