Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Step 1: Ekochiu Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine near Kakariko Village in Necluda, unlocked by completing "The Goddess Statue's Blessing" side quest.
2. Travel to Kakariko Village and speak with Elder Paya at the village center.
3. She explains that a sacred green crystal was stolen from the Goddess Statue by a Hinox that now sleeps near the Pillars of Leviathan southeast of the village.
4. Step 2: Follow the path southeast from Kakariko Village toward the Pillars of Leviathan.
5. The journey takes approximately 3 minutes on foot.
6. As you approach the pillars, you will see the Hinox sleeping in a clearing between the ancient stone columns — the green crystal is clutched in its massive hand, glowing visibly even from a distance.
7. Step 3: You have two options for recovering the crystal.
8. Option A (Stealth): Equip the Stealth Armor set or eat a stealth-boosting meal.
9. Crouch-walk toward the sleeping Hinox and carefully use Ultrahand to extract the crystal from its grip.
10. Move slowly — any sudden movement or loud noise wakes the Hinox.
11. Once you have the crystal, retreat quietly.
12. Option B (Combat): Wake the Hinox and fight it directly.
13. Fire an arrow into its eye to stagger it, causing it to drop the crystal.
14. Rush in, grab the crystal with Ultrahand, and run.
15. The Hinox is slow and you can outrun it easily once you have the crystal in hand.
16. Step 4: Carry the crystal back to Kakariko Village.
17. The receptacle is at the village overlook point near the Goddess Statue — a glowing green ring of light on the stone platform.
18. Place the crystal into the receptacle to activate the shrine.
19. Step 5: Enter the shrine and walk directly to the altar for Rauru's Blessing — no puzzle or combat inside.
20. The Hinox encounter was the trial.
21. Hidden chest: Inside the shrine, a chest to the left of the altar contains a Strong Eightfold Blade (20 attack power, a fast Sheikah-style sword excellent for stealth builds and rapid combos).
22. Ability needed: Ultrahand to extract and carry the crystal.
23. Stealth Armor or stealth-boosting food is strongly recommended for the non-combat approach.
24. Pro tip: If you defeat the Hinox rather than sneaking, it drops a Hinox Guts — one of the rarest monster parts in the game, used for high-level armor upgrades and powerful elixir brewing.
25. The combat approach is harder but the loot is worth it.
