Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

Hebra

Situated in the frozen Hebra Mountains at Rospro Pass, this tower guards the northwestern approach corridor through Hebra and requires solving a flooded drainage puzzle before activation. Map region unlocked: Northwestern Hebra, the upper pass approaches, and the snowfield corridors connecting to the far northern towers. The surrounding mountains are the second-coldest region in Hyrule after the Pikida Stonegrove snowfields — level 2 cold resistance is strongly advised for extended exploration. The Rospro Pass area serves as the geographic gateway connecting Rito Village and the Hebra lowlands to the high Hebra snowfields and the northern region. Snowflake-shaped ice crystal formations are visible inside the tower walls, accumulated from centuries of periodic flooding. The cliff faces surrounding the pass contain rich mineral deposits — Diamonds and Opals are embedded in the rock and worth breaking open with a heavy hammer-type weapon. To the north, the terrain transitions into heavy blizzard conditions that require the full Snowquill Armor set for safe travel. A frozen river runs below the pass, and several ice-cave entrances are visible in the cliff faces across the valley.

Activation Puzzle Walkthrough

1

The Obstacle

The tower interior is flooded with ice-cold water up to chest height due to a blocked drainage system. A large ice block has formed over the floor drain, preventing the water from escaping. The standing water makes the activation terminal impossible to reach safely, and the cold water rapidly accelerates cold damage accumulation even with light cold-resistant armor.

2

The Solution

Use a fire-based method to melt the ice block plugging the floor drain. The most reliable approaches: (1) Fire Arrows — fuse Fire Fruit to regular arrows and shoot the submerged ice block 5–7 times, aiming for the blue glow visible beneath the water surface near the center of the floor. (2) A Flame Emitter Zonai device placed near the drain and activated. (3) A fire-element weapon swung near the water surface — the heat conducts down to the ice. (4) Ruby-fused arrows, which emit sustained heat effective underwater. Once the drain is clear, the water rushes out within 10–15 seconds. Wait on the elevated entry ledge to avoid swimming in cold water, then descend to the dry floor and activate the terminal. Cold-resistant armor is strongly recommended throughout — the flooded interior and surrounding area are full cold-zone environments. Map region unlocked: Northwestern Hebra, the Rospro Pass mountain approaches, and the Hebra snowfield entry corridors.

Tips

Bring fire arrows (Fire Fruit fused to arrows) or a Flame Emitter Zonai device before traveling here — there are no fire sources in the immediate area, and you cannot melt the ice block without one.

Equip at least level 1 cold resistance armor before entering the flooded interior to slow the cold damage tick rate while you work on the drain puzzle.

The drain ice block is at the very bottom of the flooded interior — look for the bright blue glow beneath the water surface near the center of the floor.

Fire Fruit arrows melt the block in 5–7 shots. Ruby-fused arrows also work and are slightly more effective per shot against ice obstacles.

Wear cold-resistant armor (Snowquill Armor preferred) when exploring the surrounding Hebra region — even outside the tower, Rospro Pass sits in a level 1 cold zone.

Diamond and Opal mineral nodes in the cliff faces surrounding the pass yield high-value gems — sell Diamonds for 500 rupees each at any gem merchant in Hyrule.

The Rito Village Divine Beast questline sends you through Hebra — activate this tower during that journey to unlock the Hebra map coverage in the same trip.

From the tower launch, glide south to survey the remaining Hebra shrines and Korok seed locations in the lower Rito Village area.
