Quest Overview

Rito scholar Laissa is compiling the first complete anthology of Rito wind songs — a tradition where Rito compose pieces that mimic specific wind patterns. She needs Link to visit three remote wind observation posts in Hebra and activate their ancient Zonai wind-chime arrays to record their resonance tones. The posts are in dangerous weather zones, but each one's recorded tone fills a critical gap in the anthology.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Accept the Research Commission from Laissa

Laissa is at Rito Village, surrounded by musical notation scrolls. Three Zonai wind-chime arrays were installed at Hebra observation posts by ancient researchers to record pure wind tones. Each array requires Link to stand at the activation plate and wait for a wind surge — the chimes capture the tone in a resonance crystal Link can carry back. The posts are on exposed ridges in the harshest Hebra weather.

2

Activate the Talonto Peak Array

Climb to Talonto Peak in northern Hebra. A Zonai platform is anchored to the ridge — the wind-chime array is intact but dormant. Stand on the pressure plate and wait; the plateau channels a regular gale every three minutes. When the gale arrives, the chimes activate and the resonance crystal captures the tone. Collect the crystal before the wind dies.

3

Activate the Pikida Stonegrove Array

Travel to Pikida Stonegrove in northwest Hebra. This array is partially buried in ice but functional. Use a fire source (Fire Fruit arrow or Flame Emitter) to melt the ice from the chimes, then activate the plate. A blizzard gusts through Pikida regularly — timing the plate activation to just before the gusts is key. The blizzard tone is the deepest and most complex in the anthology.

4

Activate the Hebra Peak Summit Array

Ascend to the Hebra Peak summit — the highest point in the Hebra Mountains and one of the coldest locations in Hyrule. Maximum cold resistance required. The summit array is the original installation and perfectly preserved. Stand on the plate; the summit wind is constant and strong. The crystal captures within 30 seconds. The summit tone is described in ancient Rito poetry as the voice of the mountain.

5

Return Crystals to Laissa

Bring all three resonance crystals to Laissa at Rito Village. She places them in her crystal harmonic reader and records each tone onto her scroll. With these three additions, the anthology is complete — 47 Rito wind songs from across seven eras of Rito musical tradition. She gives Link a Rito-Made Tunic (built-in cold resistance) and a special sheet music collectible item inscribed with the three tones.
