Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Obtain the Treasure Map Clues

The Phantom Armor locations are hinted at through the Bargainer Statues in the Depths and old books found in ruins across Hyrule. Each piece is hidden in a surface-level cave or ruins, not in the Depths themselves. The three locations correspond to areas associated with Phantom Ganon encounters in the game's lore.

2

Find the Phantom Helm

The Phantom Helm is located in a cave in the Puffer Beach area along the southeast coast of Necluda. Look for a cave entrance at the base of the cliffs near the beach. Inside, navigate past Horriblins clinging to the ceiling and open the chest at the back of the cave. The helm provides +1 Attack Up.

3

Find the Phantom Armor (Chest)

The Phantom Armor chest piece is hidden in the Tamio River cave in the Lanayru region, near Zora's Domain. Enter the cave from the riverbank entrance, swim through the flooded tunnels (Zora Armor helps), and find the chest on a dry ledge deep inside. This piece also provides +1 Attack Up.

4

Find the Phantom Greaves

The Phantom Greaves are in the Ancient Columns cave in the Gerudo Highlands. The cave is near the top of the Gerudo Summit, requiring cold-resistant gear to reach. Navigate through ice formations and defeat a Stone Talus mini-boss guarding the chest. The greaves complete the set with +1 Attack Up.

5

Equip the Full Set

With all three pieces equipped, the Phantom Armor set provides a total of +3 Attack Up — equivalent to a level 3 attack boost. The set has a menacing dark appearance resembling Phantom Ganon. While it cannot be upgraded at Great Fairy fountains, the attack bonus makes it one of the strongest early-to-mid game armor sets for pure damage output.
