Find the Stable Trotters and Learn Their Mission

The Stable Trotters are a traveling musical quartet dedicated to playing music at the four Great Fairy fountains across Hyrule so the fairies will emerge and offer armor upgrades. Find band leader Mastro near Woodland Stable, trying to organize his disjointed crew. Each musician is at a different stable refusing to travel due to the dangerous roads. Agree to help reunite the group and escort their wagon.

Reunite the Four Band Members

Collect each musician from their respective stable: the violinist at Snowfield Stable (Hebra), the drummer at Tabantha Bridge Stable, the wind player at Lakeside Stable (Faron), and the vocalist at Dueling Peaks Stable (Necluda). At each location, defeat or scare off the monsters that have been terrorizing the stable road, then convince the musician to join the wagon. Each has a unique reason for hesitating but yields when the road is safe.

Escort the Wagon to Each Great Fairy Fountain

With the band reunited in the wagon, escort Mastro to each Great Fairy fountain. The route is hazardous — monster ambushes occur at specific points on each road segment. Ride ahead on horseback to clear threats, then return to let the wagon advance. When the wagon reaches a fountain, the band plays and the Great Fairy blooms. Each fairy offers armor upgrade services that require monster materials and Rupees.

Unlock All Four Great Fairies and Claim Your Reward

After all four Great Fairy fountains are activated by the Stable Trotters, each fairy can upgrade any armor piece up to four stars, dramatically increasing defense and activating set bonuses. The Stable Trotters reward Link with a performance at Tarrey Town and a special musical item as a memento. With all four fairies active, the full armor upgrade system is unlocked across the game.
