Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Speak with the Mountaineer at Snowfield Stable

Find the veteran mountaineer Dugby outside Snowfield Stable in the Hebra region. He has attempted the Hebra Mountains summit climb seventeen times over the past decade and been repulsed every time — once by blizzard, twice by Frost Lizalfos ambushes, and most recently by a Frost Gleeok that took up residence on the final summit approach. He asks Link to clear the Gleeok so the route is passable.

2

Equip for Extreme Cold and Combat

Before ascending, prepare thoroughly: equip the full Snowquill Set upgraded to at least level 2 for maximum cold resistance, stock fire-based meals (Spicy Peppers or Warm Safflina dishes) for extra warmth buffer, and bring fire arrows for the Gleeok fight. The summit approach above 1,500 meters altitude requires level 2 cold resistance — a single Snowquill piece is insufficient at that elevation.

3

Defeat the Frost Gleeok on the Summit Approach

Ascend from Snowfield Stable north toward Hebra Peak. Near the upper approach plateau, the Frost Gleeok circles in the sky. It attacks with ice beam sweeps from all three heads and ice bomb drops. Use fire arrows on each glowing head node to stun individual heads. When all three heads are stunned simultaneously, the Gleeok crashes to the ground — attack the glowing wound on its body during this window. Three crash cycles defeat it.

4

Guide Dugby to the Summit

Return to Snowfield Stable and tell Dugby the route is clear. Accompany him on the climb — he moves slowly due to age but knows the safest path. Protect him from any remaining Lizalfos or Bokoblins on the lower slopes. At the summit, a cutscene shows Dugby planting a flag and weeping with joy. He rewards Link with the Climbing Bandana and an Opal, and the summit becomes a permanent fast-travel point.
