Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Rasiwak Shrine in the Gerudo region and survey the puzzle chamber.
- Six sandstone blocks of different shapes are scattered across the floor — a cube, a flat rectangular slab, an L-shaped block, a triangular wedge, a cylindrical column, and a small sphere.
- The gate to the altar is sealed by a sand-weighted mechanism connected to a raised platform in the chamber's center.
- Step 2: Examine the wall behind the platform.
- A carved silhouette diagram shows exactly which three shapes must be stacked on the platform and in what order (bottom to top): the flat rectangular slab on the bottom, the cube in the middle, and the L-shaped block on top.
- The other three blocks (wedge, cylinder, sphere) are decoys — placing any of them on the platform adds incorrect weight and the gate remains sealed.
- Step 3: Use Ultrahand to grab the flat rectangular slab first and place it centered on the raised platform.
- The slab forms a stable, wide base.
- Ensure it sits flat — if tilted, subsequent blocks will not stack properly and may slide off.
- Step 4: Grab the cube and place it on top of the slab, centered.
- The cube fits neatly on the slab's flat surface.
- Alignment matters — the cube must be within the slab's footprint or it overhangs and becomes unstable.
- Step 5: Finally, grab the L-shaped block and carefully position it on top of the cube.
- The L-shape makes this the trickiest placement — orient the L so its flat bottom rests on the cube's top surface and its vertical arm points upward.
- If the L-block is rotated incorrectly (flat arm pointing sideways), it topples and you must restack.
- Step 6: Once all three correct shapes are stacked in the proper order, the platform registers the combined weight and shape match.
- The sand-weighted gate mechanism activates — sand drains from the counterweight, and the gate lifts with a grinding sound, revealing the altar corridor.
- Step 7: Before crossing to the altar, check the back wall behind the platform.
- A treasure chest sits on a narrow ledge containing a Topaz (worth 180 rupees and used for upgrading Rubber Armor at Great Fairy Fountains).
- Grab it — easily missed since the opened gate draws your attention forward.
- Step 8: Proceed through the gate to the altar and claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Topaz on the back wall ledge behind the stacking platform.
- Ability needed: Ultrahand is the only ability required.
- This shrine tests shape recognition, spatial orientation, and precise stacking.
- Pro tip: If you accidentally place a wrong block on the platform, simply remove it with Ultrahand — the mechanism only triggers when all three correct blocks are in position.
- There is no penalty for trial and error, so if you forget the silhouette diagram's order, experiment with different combinations.
