Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Owo-da Shrine in Central Hyrule and face the main challenge — the altar platform is separated from the entry ledge by a 12-meter gap with a bottomless pit below.
- No single object in the chamber is long enough to span this distance alone.
- Four stone slabs of varying lengths (approximately 3m, 5m, 7m, and 8m) are scattered around the entry platform.
- Step 2: Before building the bridge, check the right wall of the entry platform.
- A chest containing a Topaz (worth 180 rupees) sits in an alcove — collect it now, because once you cross the bridge, there is no easy way back to the entry side.
- Step 3: Use Ultrahand to calculate which slabs work together.
- The two longest slabs (7m and 8m) placed end-to-end create a 15-meter span — more than enough to bridge the 12-meter gap with safety margin.
- The shorter slabs are red herrings that do not combine to sufficient length.
- Step 4: Place the first long slab (8m) at the entry edge so approximately 2 meters rests on the entry platform and the remaining 6 meters extend out over the gap.
- The slab must be flat and level — any tilt makes walking across dangerous.
- Step 5: Grab the second long slab (7m) with Ultrahand and bring it to the far end of the first slab.
- Press A when the green attachment highlight appears to fuse the two slabs end-to-end.
- Critical: the connection must be flush and level, not angled.
- If the second slab attaches at an angle, the bridge will wobble and you may slide off while crossing.
- Detach and reattach if needed until both slabs form a straight, level surface.
- Step 6: Walk across the two-slab bridge carefully to the altar platform.
- The bridge may flex slightly under your weight but will hold.
- Claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Topaz in the right-wall alcove on the entry platform — grab it before crossing since the bridge is one-way.
- Ability needed: Ultrahand is the only ability required.
- The core skills tested are object measurement (judging which slabs are long enough), attachment precision (flush connections), and level placement.
- Pro tip: The attach-objects-end-to-end technique from this shrine is one of TotK's most important building skills.
- In the overworld, you can create bridges, ladders, and platforms of any length by fusing multiple planks, logs, or stone slabs together.
- Always carry spare building materials when exploring — they turn impassable gaps into trivial crossings.
