Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Sitsum Shrine in the Eldin region.
- The theme is A Balanced Plan — weight distribution on a seesaw mechanism over a deadly lava pit.
- A long metal seesaw platform spans the entire pit, pivoting on a central fulcrum.
- Both ends are raised at equal heights, and the altar sits on the far end.
- The lava below is instantly lethal — there are no second chances if you fall.
- Step 2: Two heavy stone blocks sit in alcoves on either side of the entrance.
- These are your counterweights.
- Use Ultrahand to grab the first block and place it on the near end of the seesaw (your side).
- The added weight tilts the near end down and raises the far end — but this is the wrong direction.
- You need the far end to lower so you can walk across and reach the altar at floor level.
- Step 3: The trick is stacking both blocks on the near end to create maximum downward force, which raises the far end high — then using Recall.
- Place the second block on top of the first on the near end.
- The seesaw tilts sharply: near end down, far end way up.
- Now activate Recall on the seesaw itself.
- The seesaw reverses its tilt motion, swinging the far end down and the near end up (with you and the blocks on it).
- Step 4: As the near end rises under Recall, quickly walk forward along the seesaw toward the center fulcrum.
- Recall will expire after about 8 seconds, at which point the blocks' weight reasserts and the near end crashes back down.
- You need to be past the fulcrum point before this happens.
- Sprint across the center — once past the fulcrum, your body weight on the far side helps keep it tilted in your favor.
- Step 5: Alternatively, if Recall timing is too tight, use the simpler three-block method: a third stone block is hidden in a niche behind the entrance column.
- Placing all three blocks on the near end creates enough counterweight that even your body weight on the far end does not tip the seesaw back.
- Walk across with confidence.
- Step 6: At the far end, a chest near the altar contains a Great Flameblade (30 attack power with fire damage — thematically perfect for the Eldin volcanic region).
- Claim the chest and the Light of Blessing.
- Abilities needed: Ultrahand (block placement), optionally Recall (seesaw reversal).
- Pro tip: If you fall toward the lava during the crossing, immediately deploy your Paraglider.
- The thermal updraft from the lava pit provides enough lift to glide back to the seesaw edge — but you must react within 1 second of falling.
