Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower

Faron
Medium
2373, -2897, 222

Deep in the Rabella Wetlands of southeastern Faron, this tower is completely wrapped in thorny vegetation that must be burned away before entry. Map region unlocked: Southeastern Faron including the Rabella Wetlands, Lurelin Village coastline, Necluda Sea southern arc, and the distant silhouette of Eventide Island. The wetlands surrounding the tower are among the most lush and biodiverse ecosystems in Hyrule — tropical trees with oversized canopies, exotic birds (Tropical-type Remlit variants), and rare fish fill every water body. The Rabella Wetlands receive almost constant rainfall, creating the fire-timing challenge central to this tower's puzzle. The coastline of Lurelin Village is visible to the southeast from the tower launch point. Eventide Island — a challenging self-contained combat and survival side quest — is a visible silhouette on the southern horizon. The wetlands hold rare tropical fruit varieties including Hydromelon and Mighty Bananas that grow wild in clusters near the water's edge. Multiple monster encampments guard the road approaches. A large Hinox sleeps in the wetlands to the west — defeating it yields significant monster parts and a high-value equipment chest hung around its neck. A cave hidden behind the northern waterfall contains a Bubbulfrog and several Ore Deposits.

Activation Puzzle Walkthrough

1

The Obstacle

Thick thorny vines have completely overgrown the tower exterior and entrance from ground level to the roof, blocking all access from every angle. The vines form a dense mat over the entire lower half of the tower structure. They cannot be cut with melee weapons or arrows — only fire destroys them.

2

The Solution

Burn the thorny vines using fire-based tools: (1) Fire Fruit fused to arrows — shoot multiple vine clusters around the entrance in rapid succession. Each hit ignites a section and the burn spreads along connected vines. (2) A fire-element weapon swung at the vine mass. (3) A torch (held or fused to a weapon handle) dragged across the vine surface. (4) A Flame Emitter Zonai device placed at the base of the vine mass. Critical timing note: the Rabella Wetlands experience frequent rainfall that extinguishes fire mid-burn. Watch the weather before beginning — if rain is falling, wait 1–2 in-game minutes at the tower perimeter for the rain to stop, then immediately begin burning. During a dry window, 5–8 rapid fire arrows aimed at different vine clusters on the entrance side will fully clear a path before rain returns. Ruby-fused arrows are slightly more rain-resistant due to their sustained heat output. Once the entrance vines are cleared, enter and activate the terminal. Map region unlocked: Southeastern Faron, the Rabella Wetlands, the Necluda Sea coastline, and the Lurelin Village coastal approach.

Tips

Fire arrows (Fire Fruit fused to regular arrows) clear the vines most efficiently. Shoot multiple vine clusters in rapid succession before rain begins — aim for 5 or more clusters in the first dry window.

The wetlands experience frequent rain — if rain starts mid-burn, wait 1–2 in-game minutes at the tower perimeter for weather to shift, then resume burning immediately.

Ruby-fused arrows work as a high-heat fire substitute and are more rain-resistant than Fire Fruit arrows — save them for when rain is intermittent.

Stock up at Lurelin Village (southeast, along the coast road) before heading into the wetlands — the village sells seafood-based meals and tropical fruit ingredients.

After launching from the tower, look south to spot Eventide Island on the horizon — a challenging side quest island worth visiting for rare weapon drops and puzzle completion.

The large Hinox sleeping in the wetlands to the west drops 3–5 monster parts and carries a valuable equipment chest on a necklace — engage it once you have adequate weapons and hearts.

Hydromelon clusters near water edges are worth collecting for cold-resist cooking — useful preparation before heading to the Mount Lanayru or Hebra towers.

The cave hidden behind the northern waterfall contains a Bubbulfrog and several Ore Deposit nodes — enter by swimming through the waterfall curtain.
